M-Cube Foundation meets Design turned myth at MoMA

At MoMA NY, the M-Cube Foundation confronts objects that have become myth, in the temporary exhibition:

Pirouette. Turning Points in Design.

Design is a fundamental element of life, useful in dealing with changes in our personal and social spheres, and capable of bringing out our strengths and weaknesses.
The exhibition features objects-from Post-Its to Spanx, from Emoji to Crocs-emblems of new logic, materials, technologies and concepts; unconventional solutions to conventional problems that have had a profound impact on the world.

Some of the objects on display are easily recognizable, such as the I ♥️ NY logo or the new Accessible Icon symbol. Some, like Telfar’s Shopping Bag, dubbed the “Birkin of Bushwick,” redefine the rules of exclusivity and luxury. Others, like the Walkman portable audiocassette player or the Macintosh 128K home computer, have changed and expanded our private space, allowing us to invite the world into our homes or take it with us.
